Should you or shouldn’t you include a pet in your outdoor ceremony? For all you animal lovers who are brides-to-be wrestling with the thought of including your pets in your special ceremony–before you go out and buy that dress or tux for your family pet, here are a few thing you need to know.
- Get permission from the ceremony venue/officiator, although it’s an outside wedding some people won’t even allow pets on the property.
- Make sure you talk it over with your wedding party. Yes, it’s your special day but you want to make sure no one in your wedding party is uncomfortable.
- Also, keep your wedding guests in mind– you don’t want them to feel uncomfortable, especially if you have little kids as wedding guest. If you do decide to let your pet be part of the wedding you should make your guest aware in advance.
- Is your pet up to the challenge of being apart of a wedding? Does your pet have unpredictable behavior? Is your dog well-trained? These are a few questions that you may want to ask yourself before you decide to include your pet in the wedding ceremony.
