Planning the perfect outdoor wedding takes a lot of time and preparation. Many brides-to-be tend to forget about one of the most important parts of their weddings—capturing the memories the best way possible. Choosing the perfect photographer and the best method can be quite mind-boggling, but it has to get done. That’s why I am here to give you some tips on how to choose the perfect photographer for your outdoor wedding ceremony!
1. Create an image board/mood board- When selecting the right photographer for your wedding, your vision is important. Look through magazines and see what type of pictures catch your eye. You are looking for the style of the photo and comparing it to the type of pictures you want for your wedding pictures. This will give you and the photographer an idea of what you want and how you want things—making sure that you both are on the same exact page!
2. Your Budget- Set a realistic budget and try to stick with it! But you must remember that your wedding pictures are memories that last a lifetime! And you will get what you pay for!
3. Finding the Right Photographer-Finding the right photographer with that perfect style that you want is tough! But my advice to you is, don’t settle! When it come to choosing that perfect photog, don’t just pick anyone! Do your research and make sure that you are “in love” with their style of work! Look at some of their previous work, check out their portfolio and make sure they are a good match for your wedding style! When in doubt, leave the photographer out! There are plenty out here to choose from!
4. Make a List and Check it Twice – Please make a list for your photographer, so that he or she can do some brain work! Give the photographer a list that includes the name of the venue, maybe even show them some pictures of the surrounding area. That would give the photographer a chance to brain storm and come up with creative ideas. If you want to capture all the candid moments, you may need to give the photog all of the dates regarding your wedding activities.
5. Make a Date With Your Photog-You should definitely meet with your photographer after the initial meeting. If your wedding is local, you and your photog should visit the venue to make sure that he or she can work with the scenery. It is important that you and your photographer stay connected so that your vision can be brought to life!
