Those couples who may be interested in inviting someone from the afterlife to their wedding might consider choosing one of the many venues in the United States that are noted for being haunted. Guests are sure to get a definite thrill, an probably a chill, as the bride and groom say, “I do…” in front of their guests…and who knows whom else?

One of the most famous haunted wedding venues is in Long Beach, California. Once referred to as the, “Grey Ghost,” the Queen Mary has been the site of almost 50 deaths. People have reported haunting incidences throughout the ship’s 60-year history. You can read all about it here!

Ghost hunters in Texas will get their kicks at a Houston Hidden Oaks wedding. This former bed and breakfast located near downtown Houston is said to have visitors of the ghostly kind when people least expect them.

Little Falls, New York is the site of the ivy-covered Beardslee Castle. This genuine castle is a beautiful place for a wedding, but beware! Throughout the 151 years since it was built, there have been legendary tales of sprits and ghosts that serve to accentuate the chilling energy of a Beardslee Castle wedding.

The Magnolia Mansion in New Orleans is a historical wedding hot spot. In fact, it is so popular that it is said to be regularly attended by ghosts of all kinds. So haunted is this Antebellum mansion, that it has been selected as one of the most haunted inns in America! They even have special haunted wedding and honeymoon packages!

Eureka Springs, Arkansas has wonderful hot springs and plentiful spas for a relaxing honeymoon after a ghostly wedding at the Crescent Hotel. The beautiful old hotel sits atop a mountain, and is host to many weddings. It is said that sometimes guests are joined by beings from the third world. However, no unfortunate mishaps have been reported. (Here’s their link to their hotel!)

The Copper Queen Hotel is a lovely place for a wedding in Bisbee, Arizona. Many are held under the beautiful cathedral dome that was, at one time, filled with Tiffany glass. However, there appear to be three ghosts who maintain their residence at the Copper Queen, namely Julia Lowell, a woman who died when she was in her early thirties, a second ghost in the form of a tall man wearing a cape and top hat, and a little boy who is around eight years old. Just hope the little guy doesn’t giggle during the ceremony. Some say this has been known to happen.

Another haunted wedding site in Arizona is the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort. This Chandler, Arizona venue was constructed in the year 1912 as a place for the rich and famous to mingle, as only the rich and famous can mingle. The stunning wedding facilities are, at times, visited by ghostly apparitions and certain phenomenon that is unexplained. Hotels.com goes more into detail about these occurrences, along with several other haunted hotels in Arizona.

Finally, a third Arizona wedding site that is said to be haunted is Flagstaff’s Hotel Weatherford. This hotel has seen fires, snowstorms and tales of a bride and groom who were murdered there shortly after the hotel was built. Guests claim to have seen visitations from the couple as they wandered through the halls of the upper floors. They probably say, “I boo!” these days, instead of, “I do.” Click here to view some of the guests’ stories of their time spent at the Hotel Weatherford.

If you’ve been to the state of Arizona, you’re already familiar with how amazing it is. Between beautiful winter months, breathtaking sunsets and of course, the Grand Canyon, it doesn’t get much more beautiful than that.
Though the Grand Canyon is an amazing site that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime, it is even more important to see now because of its skywalk. Not only is this a great place to take your family on a vacation, but it’s probably one of the best places you can propose to your girlfriend or boyfriend.

If you’re going on vacation with your boyfriend or girlfriend and the Grand Canyon will be part of your trip, there is no better way to add a little spice and memory to your vacation. Though you could technically propose any time and place, you want to make this moment one of the most special moments of your life. If you’re a boyfriend proposing to your girlfriend, you want to make this an unforgettable memory. Women think about their proposal starting at a very young age.

When someone proposes to the love of their life, they often take photos to help them remember what they were feeling, what the atmosphere was like and to have a memory to hold on to. If you plan on proposing at the skywalk, you will be able to create amazing photographs. As if the photos of the Grand Canyon aren’t special enough, you can make them even better by adding photos of your engagement.

Since a person only plans on proposing once in their lifetime, they want to make sure they do it right the first time and that it’s as special as possible. When you compare something simple like asking someone to marry you at home while eating a dinner, compared to asking someone to marry you while at the Grand Canyon, there is a big difference. Though it may be the same question, the way you go about doing it is so important.
You want to be able to blow your future spouse away. When you consider something special like the skywalk at the Grand Canyon, you’re boyfriend or girlfriend will be able to see that you took a lot of thought into proposing and didn’t take the easy way out. All this thought put into a proposal not only makes the moment more special, but it also creates even more love and excitement for the one proposing.

As you can see, there are some great reasons to consider proposing at the Grand Canyon skywalk. Not only is it a beautiful place to check out in general, but it’s one of the best ways you can pop the question! So, if you’ve been trying to figure out the best place to propose, one of them is definitely at the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

Look no further. Here are three of the “hottest” deserts where you can exchange your vows.

1. The Sonaran Desert, covers Southern Arizona and Northwestern Mexico and is one of the largest and hottest deserts in North America. The Sonaran Desert offers its beauty and fascinating preserved state. The Sonaran presents a variety of events from bass fishing, mountain biking, jeep tours and horseback riding. If you and your groom are courageous and love the outdoors, the Sonaran Desert would be a fabulous place for you to have your wedding ceremony.

2. Located in Arizona, the Grand Canyon is another magnificent place to wed. The allure and popularity are two reason many people chose the Grand Canyon to celebrate their nuptials. The Grand Canyon offers not only an astonishing view, it provides mule rides, white water-rafting and helicopter tours. If you are looking for a fun, exceptional place to wed, the Grand Canyon is definitely the best spot for you!

3. Another brilliant desert to get married is the Red Rock Canyon, located in Nevada. With only a short drive away from the Las Vegas Strip, the Red Rock is a gorgeous Oasis in the desert. If you and your groom are “dare-devils”, this is the perfect place for you to celebrate your nuptials. Besides the Red Canyon being considered one of the most beautiful places in Nevada, it is known for its rock climbing, hiking, hummer tours and horseback riding.
