1. If you are having your outdoor wedding in a garden or a big backyard where you can get a nice sturdy tree branch, congrats—this will be the base for your alter.  After you have found a good sturdy tree branch—wrap or drape the branch using material that coincides with the color or colors of your wedding.  For a clean, refreshed look you can use a calm, neutral color potted flowers and place them on each side of the alter. Even if you use bright colors for your drapes, the neutral potted flowers would even the colors out beautifully.
2. Creating a bamboo canopy alter is quite unique concept. Use bamboo sticks on all four sides to hold the tent up and to keep it sturdy. After getting the tent stable, put some beautiful flowers that go along with your wedding color theme at the four corners of the canopy. This bamboo canopy wedding alter would be great for a beach wedding or an island wedding.
3. To all my flower lovers, you could go out and buy an archway frame and design your archway with thousands of flowers. With this design you wouldn’t use drapes because it would take away from the gorgeous flowers. Brides-to be, please don’t be afraid to use different color flowers, but don’t go too crazy with the colors—have a tasteful color scheme! This floral wedding alter would be perfect for a botanical garden wedding.
4. Have access to a gazebo? If so, turn the gazebo into your wedding alter! You could use either sheer material or solid material to drape around the columns of the gazebos. Or use lights, which happen to be one of my favorite ways to decorate a gazebo because it’s both chic and trendy!
